HAKHannah moved to Chicago from Scotland in August 2015 to work as a music teacher in an international school. Fueled by her passion for music and willingness to meet new people, she was introduced to The Uptones through a friend of a current member. The rest is history. “As soon as I heard them during my audition, I knew I had to be a member of The Uptones,” says Hannah. “And I’ve never once regretted the decision of joining!”

Whilst studying and working at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she obtained her ABRSM diploma in piano performance before heading into the world of teaching. Since she was young, she has been a member of multiple platinum award winning ensembles, and has toured many parts of Europe with music, but has surprisingly never been involved with an a cappella choir until now.

During her spare time, Hannah likes to explore new places and can often be found jetting across the country. She has also immersed herself in a life of sport since moving to the US, between holding season tickets for Chicago teams, and competing in national sporting tournaments.
